In addition to my cliché resolutions to love more, eat better, be more active, spend less money, and stay positive, I am also vowing to do more things for myself and to not get caught up in being busy and having everything planned out.
A few recently-made decisions will hopefully help me in those ways: deciding (after much consideration/discussion) not to apply to grad schools for next fall, deciding to move to Kansas City in a couple months, and purchasing a membership to the local rec center (HA).
Right now I am so full of hopefulness and optimism and motivation and excitement. I have had three months and have two more of living with my sister, who is my best friend and with whom I have so much fun no matter what we are doing (even if it is nothing, like today). I will have two months (March and April) to live with another one of my best friends before she gets married. And aside from all practical obligations—like, say, finding a decent job—I can do whatever I want. I can travel (as long as I can afford it), I can knit scarves or make greeting cards or screen-print or paint or not paint. For now, I feel free.
A couple weekends ago Courtney and I road-tripped to KC, where I was blessed enough to see pretty much all of the people that I love to see.
